MLK Clothing and Hygiene Drive

Dear Brotherhood Members,

As we begin the new year, we invite you to take part in Temple Israel’s MLK Day of Service on Monday, January 19, 2026—a morning of hands-on projects that bring our community together in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Brotherhood is playing a key role this year by supporting the Men’s Hygiene Kits Project for Calvary Church. As part of that effort, we are asking Brotherhood members to donate gently used or like-new men’s pants, as well as new socks and undershirts. These items will be included in the kits and distributed to individuals experiencing homelessness and housing instability. Your contributions will provide both dignity and comfort to those who need it most.

In addition to collecting these donations, we welcome Brotherhood members to participate in the day’s activities. A light breakfast will begin at 9:00 AM, followed by brief remarks from Rabbi Micah and a morning of meaningful service with partner organizations across Memphis. Projects conclude at 12:00 PM.
