Hike the Tour de Wolf at Shelby Farms

Come join us for an outdoor adventure in of one of our city's greatest nature areas! We will hike an approximate 4 mile section of the Tour de Wolf Trail at Shelby Farms Park. This dirt trail winds through wooded areas as well as open grassy areas, and is generally considered "easy" in difficulty, suitable for most people.

Enter into Shelby Farms Park off of Farm Rd and proceed towards the Visitors Center. Continue up the hill past the Visitor's Center and look on your left for the dirt parking lot serving the Woodland Discovery Playground. Alternatively, enter into the Park off Walnut Grove, onto Great View Dr East. Proceed past Coastal Fish Company and the FedEx Event Center up the hill to the stop sign. Turn right and immediately on your left is the Woodland Discovery Playground parking lot.

Well-behaved dogs on leashes and kids are welcome. Bring water, bug spray, at hat and sturdy shoes. The trail can be muddy in sections if there has been recent rain. This hike is a loop, approximately 1.5 hours in duration.
